Planning Applications

Published: 10 September 2025

The Parish Council, as a statutory consultee, routinely reviews all planning applications (and may conduct a site survey, if deemed necessary). Occasionally we may submit an objection and rarely, with particularly contentious applications, we may request that the application is decided at a meeting of the local authority planning committee.

We always like to take into consideration the views of local residents, both positive and negative. Up until recently, comments by interested parties have been visible online but recently Buckinghamshire Council have decided not to show comments by members of the public. It would of great help to us if anyone submitting a comment on a planning application sends a copy to the Clerk of the Parish Council. Members of the public are always welcome to attend our meetings to air their views on an application in person. All planning applications for the Parish can be viewed on our website with links to the relevant page on the Buckinghamshire Planning Portal. Our website also gives further details on the planning process together with our Planning Policy Statement which is used as a guide for our councillors when assessing planning applications.
