We welcome visitors who come for sightseeing, walking and quiet enjoyment. The Hambleden valley and riverside offer beautiful and varied landscapes at all times of the year which are rich in wildlife.

You will find a good network of well-signposted footpaths and bridleways, picturesque villages and welcoming pubs (You can see a map of local footpaths here and details of the local pubs can be found on the Amenities page).

When out and about, may we ask you to help conserve the beauty of the area by:

Putting litter in bins or taking it home!
Keeping dogs under
close control
Parking thoughtfully

Following the
Countryside Code

The Hambleden Valley Visitors Guide gives further details of where to eat and stay within the valley and what to see and do.

For further afield, see Visit Chilterns and Visit Buckinghamshire

To this we would add that visitors can enjoy teas and snacks at the village stores in Hambleden and, on Sunday afternoons in the summer months, teas and homemade cake are served outside the church in Hambleden.

We should, perhaps, also mention that the area has been used as a location for numerous films and TV programmes. Visitors may be keen to explore these associations; IMDB lists 50 titles.

Murder trails are particularly popular!
