Ellery Rise play area, Frieth

Published: 17 July 2020

At the parish council meeting held on Monday 13th July, it was decided that the play area at Ellery Rise, Frieth will be re-opened as of today, Friday 17/07/2020. To ensure you are ready to use this Play Area safely please read these simple instructions and plan ahead for safe fun this summer.

Parents/carers must read this guidance and ensure their families follow it carefully for the safety of their children and others. Please limit to 1 adult accompanying children.

IF YOU OR MEMBERS OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD FEEL UNWELL, HAVE SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19 OR ARE SELF-ISOLATING YOU MUST NOT USE THE PLAY AREA.

This equipment is checked regularly for damage, wear and tear, but is NOT SANITISED, DISINFECTED OR CLEANED. Using it is at your own risk. Therefore we would advise that high touch areas are cleaned or wiped before use.

This is shared equipment, used at your own risk.
Make sure you have hand sanitiser with you before entering this play area. Please bring your own hand sanitiser or wipes with you and use regularly, as a minimum before and after using the play area.
DO NOT allow your children to put their mouths on the equipment.
Encourage children to avoid touching their faces, and to cough or sneeze into a tissue or the crook of their arm.
You MUST maintain social distancing from others unless they are from the same household – the current advice from the Government is to maintain 2 metres apart and for adults to consider wearing a face mask.
Some equipment can only be used by one child at a time while social distancing. Please ensure your family waits at a safe distance if the equipment is in use or return later to use the equipment.
Try to avoid busy times. If the play area is busy, consider coming back at a different time.
If your family is wearing disposable personal protective equipment such as gloves, please take it home to dispose of.
Wash your hands immediately when you get home.

Signs have been placed on the gate at the play area reminding of these things.

We hope you enjoy using this play area and thank you for helping to keep everyone safe by following these simple instructions.
